3-class introduction to leather working

Learn how to make beautiful leather creations the Restrepo way, entirely by hand. Unlock the designer in you and develop the skills to take you from an idea to a finished product. This is a practical course, and you will walk away with a finished creation from your very first class. Learn from Restrepo Leather owner Jerry Tolochko, who trained under a master Colombian leather worker for three years in Bogota.

Classes can be arranged at a student's convenience. There can be anywhere from 2 to 6 participants in a class. Classes will be held in a nearby studio space in San Francisco, CA.

Normally, students will make two pieces during the course: one smaller accessory, and then a larger piece such as a small bag or more complex wallet. Course fee includes all supplies for the small beginning project, such as a bracelet, device case, or card wallet. An additional fee for materials might be applied for the second piece depending on its complexity.
